The law broadly serves citizens without excessive burden.
Summary
This ordinance designates which accounting frameworks count as recognized standards for Swiss entities subject to bookkeeping and financial reporting duties. It approves IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, Swiss GAAP FER, US GAAP, and IPSAS, and treats FINMA and federal/FINMA accounting rules for banks, securities firms, and collective investment schemes as equivalent recognized standards.
Verdict reason
This is a narrow recognition rule that enables firms to use established private and sector-specific accounting standards rather than forcing a single state-designed regime. It provides a basic coordination function for comparability and legal certainty with little visible intervention in the text.
